LATEST: Usuthu finally cut ties with striker

KickOff.com can confirm that AmaZulu have finally reached a conclusive agreement in separating with one of the players that they parted ways with back in June.

Eight weeks ago, Usuthu announced that they will be parting ways with Augustine Mulenga, Junior Dion, Boniface Haba, Ethan Brooks, Veli Mothwa, Andile Mbanjwa, and Abbubaker Mobara.

That long list of exits also had Sandile Khumalo, Mbongeni Gumede, Kwanda Mngonyama, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Thembela Sikhakhane, Wayde Jooste, Skhulile Manyoni, Rowan Human, and Msindisi Kunene.

Then with the pair of Etiosa Ighodaro and Sifiso Ngobeni, the club noted that they will heading back to their parent club Mamelodi Sundowns with the latter having since moved on to Cape Town City.

Dion (Golden Arrows) and Human (FK Partizani in Albania) have been amongst the few that have moved to new clubs.

Then surprisingly with Haba found his way back to AmaZulu for pre-season after being recalled as he still had a running contract.

The Guinea winger went through preparations with the club before only coming to an exit agreement this week.

His exit package will come with his salary being paid until November plus a further payment for another agreement on his contract.

There were possibilities that he could be loaned out to the Motsepe Foundation Championship but that hasn't worked out.

Haba joined from Moroccan club Olympique Safi at the beginning of the season but has had it tough playing only 152 minutes spread over eight appearances.

He ended the season without neither a goal nor assist.

Usuthu have already added Keagile Malepe, Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya, Ryan Moon, and Thapelo Matlhoko in refreshening their forward line.
