Bidvest Wits defender Onismor Bhasera anticipates aggressive Ajax CT in MTN8 semi-final

Wits scored an away goal in the 1-1 draw in the first leg in Stellenbosch on August 15.

Ajax therefore need to get on the scoresheet at Bidvest Stadium if they hope to book a spot in the Final, alongside either holders Kaizer Chiefs or Bloemfontein Celtic.

"We know very well that [Ajax] are going to come guns blazing," Bhasera says. "They might not start like that but, as the match goes on, they are going to throw everything at us because they need to get something.

"We just need to keep composed and make sure that we don't lose our heads."

Bhasera, however, is mindful the Students can not afford to sit back against Roger de Sa's youthful charges.

"To be honest, yes we have an away goal advantage but we don't want to put that in our heads, and go on the pitch saying we've got something in the pocket," says the stocky fullback.

"We need to start as if it's 0-0, or actually like they are leading. We want to go in, not sit back and play our normal game."

The Zimbabwean international adds that the Clever Boys need to build on their strong showing in a 2-0 victory over Maritzburg United on Wednesday night.

"The guys are ready... We've been working very hard, and looking from [Wednesday] night, they played very well and should have scored a couple more goals. That's what we want to implement into this weekend's game."
