Ajax Cape Town strengthened ahead of Bidvest Wits semifinal

Both returned from injury to play in the Absa Premiership victory over Free State Stars in midweek; Lebusa scoring the equaliser in the 2-1 win and Jenniker coming on as a substitute.

Cohen, who plays either in defence of midfield, gives coach Roger de Sa extra options this afternoon.

There is also the tantalising prospect of Asive Langwe seeing action against his old club – the 22-year-old midfielder joined Ajax from Wits this week. De Sa is a great admirer of Langwe, having given him his Wits debut as a 17-year-old.

Wits captain Thulani Hlatshwayo, meanwhile, faces a race to be fit for this afternoon’s clash after picking up an injury against Mamelodi Sundowns last weekend.

The scores are level at 1-1 after the first leg, with the away goal rule coming into play if the two sides are still level after 90 minutes. If the match finishes 1-1, however, it will proceed directly to a post-match penalty shootout.

The winners will meet holders, Kaizer Chiefs in the Final.
