Durban City chairman Farook Kadodia has received a word of empathy from a fellow PSL club chairman following the legalities that have prevented his side from lifting the Motsepe Foundation Championship trophy yet.
The PSL has yet to make a decision regarding allegations that Durban City improperly registered winger Saziso Magawana.

"This never-ending case is a problem. Each time we finish our league season, we face such issues," laments Mphahlele, taking time out to speak exclusively to KickOff.com.
"This is a painful experience for Durban City. I feel genuinely sad because they were denied the opportunity to lift the trophy in front of their supporters and sponsors.
"As a league, we need to find a way to prevent these issues. A man must fight his battles on the battleground, not at home. At the end of the season, we should celebrate and congratulate the winners, but we are unable to do that.
"What puzzles me about this case is that the player was previously with Marumo Gallants, which is where Durban City scouted him. If they wanted to sign him, they should have gone to Gallants, where they saw him play. And that's what they did.
"However, all of a sudden, the club has been sold, there are stories of, 'You're not supposed to get clearance from one club when you should have received it from another'.
"The fact remains that the player has been cleared to play for a team of his choice, and that's what is most important," he adds.
The Bakgaga supremo says he is disheartened to see what is happening in South African football with cases of this nature.
"With situations like this, how can we attract sponsors to our league? Who would want to sponsor a league where there are no celebrations when champions are crowned?

"I feel for the Durban City chairman. If I were in his position, experiencing these kinds of issues, I don't know how I would manage to sleep at night. It sometimes feels like sabotage.
"Yes, we must adhere to the rules, but those rules must not be misused. There is a rule that states no complaints should be raised after 40 days."
