MaMkhize new club talk gathers pace

They say you can't keep a good 'man' down. After the demise of Royal AM, businesswoman Shaun Mkhize is set to take over as the new boss of a Premier League team outside South African borders.

'MaMkhize' is set to be unveiled as the new chairlady of Mbabane Highlanders in Eswatini after meeting with the club patrons in Matsapha on Wednesday.

She has been involved in legal battles with SARS after her club Royal AM was placed under curatorship last season due to a tax debt.

They were later expelled as part of the NSL after failing to fulfill their obligations in the league due to financial contraints and being unable to honour fixtures.

Now, MaMkhize has resurfaced in Eswatini with a view of taking over as new boss at Highlanders.

"There is new regime at (Mbabane) Highlanders. MaMkhize has taken over. Patrons are in charge at the moment," Eswatini journalist Sbusiso Masilela tells KickOff.com.

Efforts to get comment from both Highlanders spokesperson Lington Gule and Mkhize proved futile at the time of compiling this story.
