The third consecutive match that Mamelodi Sundowns will play in different competitions this week will come with a completely new experience for the champions.
Having played Orlando Pirates in the DStv Premiership upon their return to domestic football on Saturday, Sundowns have the short Nedbank Cup trip to Dobsonville where they play La Masia on Tuesday evening.

From there, Sundowns will be on their first ever trip to Mauritania.
Upon touching down in Nouakchott, they will find local champions FC Nouadhibou waiting at on Saturday (18h00) in match that will seal the Brazilians' passage to the quarter-finalm should they win.
For all the countries that Sundowns have been to on the continent, they have never set foot in Mauritania, located in the Sahara Desert, and having the Atlantic Ocean on the western end.
Serial domestic champions FC Nouadhibou had three players in the AFCON squad and will fancy their chances, having collected four points from four games to date.
There are no direct flights to the Oumtounsy International Airport in Nouakchott from OR Tambo which means the best travel option takes 20 hours via Istanbul, Turkey.
The second option is 25 hours with stops in Ethiopia, Mali, and Senegal.
Tickets average R22 000 for a return flight.

Sundowns will play to up 28 games in under 14 weeks in between all the travelling involved in their schedule.
