Ahead of the CAF Champions League finale, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso has been urged to return to the club's traditional style of play, particularly to get the best out of Lucas Ribeiro Costa.
Sundowns were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Pyramids FC last weekend in the first leg of the final, and ahead of the decisive second leg in Cairo, will have to take the game to their opponents.

In hindsight, Cardoso appeared to have employed a wing system, with Tashreeq Matthews and Ribeiro stretching the pitch, most likely to match the visitors, who play often out wide and bring in crosses.
The Brazilians could not create enough chances, with only two shots on target the entire game.
According to Benedict Vilakazi, the Portuguese got it wrong.
"Not per se 'Mshishi'. Let me put it out there for everyone, before I can talk about 'Mshishi', let's go to Ribeiro. Is he the Ribeiro of last season or early this season? No! Totally different! Now he has been told to stay wide. Ribeiro is the brain of the team," Vilakazi said on omniaudioafrica YouTube Channel.
"He's like 'Mshishi'. Those guys are the brains of Sundowns and you cannot have a brain outside of that spinal cord and you put him on the side and expect things to happen. He's not that type of a player!

Ribeiro has only scored three goals in the Champions League, two of them under Manqoba Mngqithi, and both against lowly side Mbabane Swallows in the second preliminary round.
