Ighodaro's contract details at Sundowns revealed

Nigerian striker Etiosa Ighodaro could potentially be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with a team of his choice as soon as in January 2024.

Ighodoro is currently on loan at SuperSport United from Mamelodi Sundowns.

The 24-year-old striker previously spent last season on loan at Chippa United, where he impressivley provided a return of 10 goals in 24 appearances.

Ighodaro's contract with the Brazilians is set to expire in June, and has the opportunity to sign a pre-contract agreement with any team.

"His contract with Sundowns is due to expire next year in June," a source within the club tells KickOff.

"There were teams that were interested in signing him before he joined SuperSport United.

"He will assess the situation in January and take it from there. At the moment, he committed to SuperSport United and wants to do well for the club this season.

Ighodoro's representative, Mohammed Lawal, chose to remain silent on client's contract situation with Sundowns and referred KickOff to the club.
