In yet another shocking club-and-coach decision in the current PSL off-season, a club that punched above its weight in the division last season has severed ties with their tactician.
Magesi FC have decided against extending Owen Da Gama's contract.
This is despite the significant turnaround he achieved during his tenure, which helped save the team from what looked to be sure relegation at one stage.

'Rubber Doll', the nickname he goes by in football circles, guided the club to a 13th-place finish having taken over when they were struggling at the foot of the table.
Under his guidance, the Limpopo-based side finished above well-established outfits such as ever-presents SuperSport United and troubled Cape Town City.
In an exclusive interview with KickOff.com, Da Gama confirmed his departure, clarifying it was not related to performance or financial issues.
"Yes, I have parted ways with Magesi," says the former Silver Stars coach.
"Our separation is not about money; we simply couldn't agree on certain terms. Let's move on."
He explained, "I initially agreed to a six-month contract, as they wanted a two-year deal, which I refused. When they came back to me saying, 'We can’t agree on terms',' I accepted that. I said, 'If I'm not good enough, then I'm not good enough.'"

The 63-year-old gaffer went on to express his gratitude to Magesi chairman Solly Makhubela, who suggested he might one day become a technical director.
"I told him it's okay, and I'll see what God has in store for me.
So, I have parted ways with Magesi on good terms, and I am currently looking for new opportunities."
