South African defender Rushine de Reuck has been unveiled by his new club Simba SC in true star fashion following his move from Mamelodi Sundowns. Here's a look!
The story
How a player is presented by a club often says a lot about the significance of the transfer.
In the modern era, clubs frequently go to great lengths to announce new signings in eye-catching and imaginative ways.

For players with modest reputations or who are relatively unknown, clubs usually stick to a standard press release, accompanied by basic images of the player signing their contract or holding up the team jersey.
However, when it comes to high-profile signings, there is usually a more concerted effort. Some teams scout out stunning locations or create elaborate studio sets to reflect their creative vision for unveiling the player.
In De Reuck's case, it's clear he’s regarded as a marquee arrival at one of Tanzania’s most iconic clubs, Simba.
The South African did a vintage-inspired photoshoot, where he is pictured seated beside a vinyl player with DVD and cassette functions.
His new Simba jersey hangs in the background, with the entire shoot seemingly symbolising that his moment on the decks is now.
The concept is undeniably abstract, leaving much open to interpretation. However, what is absolutely clear is that the centre-back is a major signing for Fadlu Davids’ side.
"De Reuck (29), a South African national, is a highly experienced defender in CAF Champions League competitions – one of the key factors that influenced our pursuit of his signature," Simba wrote in a statement.
