Former Kaizer Chiefs centre-back Rodney Thobejane has backed the club's new central defence pairing to take the club back to its glory days.
Angolan international Inacio Miguel and Bafana Bafana left-centre-back Rushwin Dortley have been outstanding for Amakhosi so far this season.
Miguel is expected to miss Tuesday's league match against Magesi FC after accumulating four yellow cards.
"I'm very much impressed, they compliment each other, well," Thobejane tells KickOff.

"That is the department that was costing Chiefs last season; I'm glad they have fixed it. I think now it's okay.
"They understand each other and they know each other's strength. But only the guys playing in front of them can help them shine.
"These two will take Chiefs back to the glory days; as they usually say, defense is what wins you the game."

Thobejane has offerd some advice for Amakhosi this season.
"Looking at the way Chiefs are playing at the moment, I back Chiefs.
"I watched Chiefs play against SuperSport United on Saturday. Unfortunately, they missed a lot of chances. They just need to learn composure.
"Fixing that problem of scoring will make things easier for them. The wingbacks and the defensive midfielders need to always come to the party for Miguel and Dortley to continue playing well."
