The arrival of Inacio Miguel at Kaizer Chiefs has thrust the experienced defender into becoming the first ever Angolan to play for Amakhosi throughout the PSL era years.
Unlike the rest of the inland COSAFA region, the PSL has never been a popular destination for Angolans, with Armando Satchipa having been the only one who played on these shores for a while after making his debut in the 1996/97 season for Hellenic.

With Miguel's move to Chiefs now official after signing a three-year deal, it makes him the first footballer from the Portuguese-speaking country to sign for the club.
He will find comfort in that Edmilson Dove, Edson Castillo, Gaston Sirino and Lehlogonolo Matlou can all make sense of his tongue.
The 28-year-old was born in Portugal but has his roots in Angola – who become last inland country from the region that has had a player at Chiefs in the PSL era years.
Botswana is still represented by Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Eswatini had Sibusiso 'Spoko' Dlamini. Lesotho provided Lekoane Lekoane, while Malawi had Patrick Mabedi. Dove and Jossias Macamo came from Mozambique, with the trio of Virgil Vries, Robert Nauseb and Mohammed Ouseb coming from Namibia.
Zambia has had Lazarous Kambole, Lewis Macha, Rotson Kilambe, Aaron Lubunda, Songwe Chalwe and Collins Mbesuma through the years.
The biggest numbers have come from Zimbabwe with Cleopas Dlodlo, Teenage Hadebe, Robson Muchichwa, Tinashe Nengomasha, Khama Billiat, Willard Katsande, Edmore Chirambadare, Michelle Katsvairo, Ovidy Karuru, Kingston Nkhatha, Matthew Rusike and Lincoln Zvasiya all coming from across the Limpopo.
That long list also has Jimmy Jambo, Knowledge Musona, Thomas Sweswe, Tinashe Nengomasha, Abbas Amidu, Onismor Bhasera, Kelvin Mushangazhike, Liberty Masunda and Luke Petros Jukulile.
Chiefs have also even recruited from the Indian Ocean Islands with Andriamirado 'Dax' Arohasina Andrianarimanana having come from Madagascar.
Amakhosi have also recruited from the rest of the continent with Fiacre Ntwari (Rwanda), Christian Saile Basomboli, Kabamba Musasa, Emeka Mamale (DR Congo), Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana, Valery Nahayo (Burundi), Daniel Akpeyi, Ibezito Ogbonna, Tony Ilodigwe, Muisi Ajao (Nigeria) and Teddy Akumu (Kenya).

They have also had James Kotei, Jonathan Quartey, Louis Agyemang (Ghana), Godfrey Walusimbi, David Obua, Ivan Bukenya, Sula Matovu (Uganda), Camaldine Abraw (Togo) and Serge Djiehoua (Cote d'Ivoire).
Beyond Africa, they have gone to Austria (Markus Bocskor), Serbia (Samir Nurkovic), Venezuela (Edson Castillo, Gustavo Paez and Jose Torrealba) Uruguay (Gaston Sirino), Colombia (Efmamjjasond Gonzalez and Leonardo Castro) and Brazil (Ricardo and Rodrigo).
