Colombian striker Efmamjjasond Gonzalez has yet to justify why Kaizer Chiefs went all the way to recruit him from South America, but his goals are still carrying the Bolivian club that he played for before moving to South Africa.
Gonzalez was playing for Real Santa Cruz in the Bolivian Primera Division when Chiefs came calling for his services during off-season.

At Santa Cruz, Gonzalez was settled in familiar Spanish environment under four hours away from home in Colombia.
Goals were not an issue like they have been at Chiefs as he was starting games and playing as the focal point of all attacks with his eight goals in the opening nine league games providing the evidence of his worth.
While the goals evaporated for the last nine games that Gonzalez played in all competitions before moving to Chiefs, those eight goals have kept him top of the scoring at Santa Cruz up to now.
Those goals make up for just under a third of the 27 goals that sixth placed Santa Cruz have scored after 27 matches.

The big striker is thin on confidence at Chiefs where he has failed to score in six appearances totalling 230 minutes.
This means Gonzalez is now without a goal in his last 15 games including his last nine that he played firing blanks at Santa Cruz.
Santa Cruz have since played five league games plus three in the Copa Division Professional since Gonzalez's last appearance for the club in August.
Gonzalez's struggles has ignited speculation that he could be sent back to Santa Cruz in the new transfer window.

No clarity has been given on where the 24-year-old is on loan or was bought outright.
Worth noting is that the Bolivian Primera Division is ranked so lowly in South America that it falls that below Brazil's Serie D and Argentina's third tier league where Gonzalez played for San Miguel.

The Bolivian club have also played another three games in the Copa Division Professional – a competition that runs concurrent to the traditional league season with the winners qualifying for the Copa Libertadores.
Bolivia is also the lowest ranked nation in the CONMEBOL region.
