It seems that the 39-year-old loves the tranquility that comes with nature. A glance at his Instagram profile shows that visiting wildlife is one of his hobbies.
He recently shared images of himself observing rhinos and cheetahs in their natural environment.
"A great day in South Africa enjoying the wildlife," Toure wrote on Twitter.
"Africa is blessed with such incredible animals. Let's protect them and enjoy their beauty!"
Did you know?
Toure joined the Citizens from FC Barcelona in July 2010, in a move that would see him link up with his older brother Kolo Toure. According to the Manchester Evening News, the duo became the first siblings to play for the club since Shaun and Bradley Wright-Phillips.
Also, Toure is just one of two players from the continent, alongside Cameroonian Samuel Eto'o to win the African Footballer of the Year award a record four times!
Your thoughts, please?
With Sergio Aguero, David Silva, and Vincent Kompany all having statues at Man City, do you think Toure deserves one as well?
