Cape Town City captain Thamsanqa Mkhize has a close bond with former Kaizer Chiefs star Siyabonga Nkosi as it turns out that the pair go a long way back. Here's a look at their off-field bromance.
The story
Mkhize has made it a point that he sends his well-wishes to Nkosi every year on his birthday.
These thoughtful gestures have prompted a closer look at their relationship and have also raised suspicion that the two may be somehow related, or better yet, Nkosi has served as a mentor to the City skipper.

Although the defender is not that active on social media, he has always made sure to acknowledge the former Amakhosi playmaker, with the first-ever post of Nkosi on Mkhize's Instagram dating back to eight years ago.
Apart from the fact that the two also attend each other's family events, the 33-year-old Bafana Bafana star refers to the retired baller as "brother", thus raising more suspicion that they may be related.
Nevertheless, what is clear is that the Mother City-based left-back has immense respect for the ex-Bloemfontein Celtic maestro.
