Royal AM owner Shauwn Mkhize marked her birthday this week with a brave photoshoot in the presence of the largest animals walking on earth, the African elephants.

Mkhize is no stranger to the spotlight given that she leads a flashy life and she's the boss of a South African top-flight club. Having turned a year older this week, here's how she spent her big day.

Lush as usual
Although her age remains a secret to most, what isn't untold is her appreciation for the finer things in life. Last week, the businesswoman was in Miami, Florida in the United States, where she was jet skiing in the water and cruising on roads in a Rolls Royce.
Now back in South Africa, she got to take a world-class photoshoot where she was pictured standing among giant elephants in the wild. Perhaps a brave act for images, however, the lifestyle is flamboyant and daring like that!
Club things
Things on the field for her Durban club have also been looking up as they sit second on the DStv Premiership table. This is a huge feat given that it is their first season in the topflight, and should they finish the season in this position, they will make history.
