Adidas has dropped a new film and limited edition product range to celebrate Karim Benzema's Ballon d'Or win. Check it out!
What Happened?
The French forward won his first Ballon d'Or title on Monday night after scoring 44 goals in 46 games in the 2021/22 season while he also helped France win the UEFA Nations League.
Karim Benzema spent much of his career as a glittering supporting act for Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo and, more recently, Kylian Mbappe. The 34-year-old has now achieved his flowers for his prolific and consistent showing.

Following his historic moment, a new film, 'Hand of Gold', shows Benzema's iconic hand bandage that he wore in every game since 2019 turn from white to gold. This show tells the story of a young boy from France who overcome endless on-pitch battles to reach the pinnacle of football.
Adidas have made two super-limited edition product modifications to recognise the striker's career with a golden X Speedportal boot that features gold accents, sole plate and aglets.

Adidas and Real Madrid have also collaborated for a special edition gold name and numbered kit.

According to discoverwalks, Karim was born in France but he is of Algerian descent and could play for the Algerian national team. In fact, when he was making a name for himself, the Algerian football federation tried to persuade him.
