As some athletes are well-versed across many disciplines, we look at the Mamelodi Sundowns ladies star who is also a prominent Amapiano artist and dancer, Lehlogonolo Mashigo!
Popularly known as 'Hlogi Mash', the Masandawana Ladies star is an incredibly popular figure in South Africa's current house music scene.
Mashigo is a multi-talented performer who seems to be winning on all fronts as she is part of the Sundowns team that will be heading to Egypt to represent the COSAFA region at the CAF Women's Champions League.

Although her rise in football is not as prominent as her entertainment career, Mashigo seems to be heading in the right direction as a footballer, and hopefully, a call-up to the Banyana Banyana squad is on the horizon.
Hlogi Mash has built a solid social media following as she has well over 300K followers on Instagram as well as 33.6K subscribers on YouTube – she is essentially a celebrity!
Her videos on YouTube are mainly well-choreographed dance videos, which she performs alongside some of her close people, where they showcase sensational and trendy Amapiano moves that have taken Mzansi's entertainment industry by storm.
This music genre is evidently one of the fastest-growing industries in South Africa, and it has been led by the likes of accomplished DJs and producers including Kabza De Small, Maphorisa, and Mr Jazziq.
What cannot be argued is the close relationship between South African football and local pop culture, and Mashigo's popularity in the latter is a prime example of these two industries cordially mixing.
It can also be warily speculated that her fame can bring the necessary attention to the women's game, and attract the commercial exposure that she already possesses to the benefit of the underappreciated womens' football.

Hlogi Mash appeared in Major League DJs' Balcony Mix episode which features Amapiano hit-sensation Sir Trill.
