Mama Joy flies South African flag high in Qatar

South African superfan Mama Joy Chauke is definitely who she thinks she is having been invited to the 2022 FIFA World Cup draw. Here's a look at what her recent trip to Qatar entailed!

The story

Last week Mama Joy was invited to the draw in Doha, Qatar to witness the eight groups and their fixtures being decided.

While South Africa will be taking no part in the tournament, locals will be happy to know that the country's number one supporter will attend group stage matches including the opening game.

Flying the SA flag high

Mzansi will be represented at the tournament, albeit it won't be by the national team. Nevertheless, many will be eager to see the Royal AM faithful on screens during the first-round matches as she is expected to be in the stands.

"Thanks Supreme Committee for the tickets to attend All group stages including the opening game Qatar World Cup," she confirmed the news via her Instagram.

Her envious itinarary

She also met football enthusiasts from other regions including South and North America, Europe, and Asia.

Her stay in the Middle East was at the luxury The Westin Hotel in Doha, and her trip included a boat cruise, a visit to the museum, as well as a select number of stadiums which will host the games.

There she also met FIFA president Gianni Infantino and SuperSport broadcaster Carol Tshabalala.
