South African super fan Mama Joy Chauke has finally received her flowers for her incredible role in South African football. Here's a look.
The story
Arguably the most popular soccer fan in the country, Mama Joy has been a regular feature in the stands, whether it's during club matches or when it's the national teams.
Her undying support for the beautiful game has now been recognised, as this week she was handed the Supporter of The Year award at the Momentum GSport Awards 2022 on Wednesday.

The work never stops!
Admittedly, after leaving Orlando Pirates last year, her career has somewhat elevated. Earlier this year she was part of a select group of fans who were given an all-expenses paid trip to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup draw, despite South Africa having not qualified for the tournament.
Currently, she is mobilising for her new side Thwihli Thwahla to be among the four teams who will be participating the in the new format of the Carling Black Label Cup, which will take place on one day on 12 November 2022 at the FNB Stadium, Johannesburg.
Should Royal AM be among the four teams out of 16 to make it to the cup, then many would agree that she is definitely Mzansi's number one football influencer.

Mama Joy will be heading to the World Cup in November as she is likely to be Mzansi's only representative at the tournament.
