The Argentine is one of the biggest stars in the history of football and boasts so many records off the pitch, including the most-liked Instagram post from a sportsman.
Due to his high profile in the media, the 34-year-old has appeared in a number of commercials for a variety of brands.

This time, the star has now been cast in something that is completely different to what we are used to seeing him feature in.
According to Marca, he is stepping up his off-field profile as he will make a cameo appearance in the second season of the Argentine drama 'Los Protectores,' a television show which is gaining popularity in the South American nation.
His scene has already been shot and was completed just a few days ago. Images of the footballer on set were shared by the producer as Messi recorded his scene in Paris, his new home.

However, there is some bad news...
The second season of 'Los Protectores' will only be shown on the television screens in 2023 which means that we will have to wait to see Messi's acting skills.
