The Argentine is one of the highest-paid footballers in the world with an annual wage reportedly in the region of €35 million (R611 million) excluding his bonuses and compensation for image rights.

A yearly salary this big allows the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner to be able to purchase anything he wants, including his ridiculous list of luxury homes.
According to the Daily Mail, the South American got a property, near the cove of Cala Tarida on Ibiza's western coast, from Switzerland businessman Philippe Amon.
The home is equipped with a large garden, an almost 100 square-metre swimming pool and all the luxury items one could desire.

Messi also purchased a stunning a 52-room hotel in Ibiza in 2018 - the stunning Hotel Es Vive just a few months after purchasing a hotel near Barcelona for £26 million (R524 million). The baller also owns a mansion in Castelldefels near the Catalan capital that he bought for £3.5 million (R70 million) in 2009 with wife Antonela Roccuzzo.
