Former Liverpool star Cisse trades his boots for turntables

Former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse has ventured into new careers since retiring as he traded football for turntables and fashion shows. Check it out!

A look back at Cisse career

The former French striker had an eventful career that saw him tear defences to shreds while his temper occasionally saw him had run ins with his teammates.

The forward earned a reputation for being somewhat of a journeyman after playing for more than 10 clubs in his time as a professional while injuries also played a role in hindering his stay at certain clubs.

Since retiring in 2015, the enigma has branched into other avenues and started modeling and taking his DJ exploits a lot more seriously.

The self-assured trendsetter, who has over a million followers on Instagram, plays sets which consist of  Afro-house mixed with Brazilian bailé funk that appears to be dominating the local music landscape in Africa.

In fact, this sound ended up being a huge hit in West Africa, where Cisse was received by large crowds.

Splashing the cash

Cisse had a tendency to be a glitz and glamour star even in his playing days and these exploits have seen him earn a 'Lord' name officially.

Elaborate purchases come with the territory of being a top footballer as they live in mansions and have wages to afford a luxurious lifestyle.

However, not many of these pricey properties come with a title and Cisse became the official 'Lord of the Manor of Frodsham' in 2005 after he parted ways with a reported £2 million for Ridge Manor, a huge house in England.

Did you know?

Before retiring from professional football, the Liverpool Legend suffered from two leg break injuries, breaking his left leg in 2004, and his right leg in 2006 both which serious affected his career as a striker.
