DStv Premiership coaches and stars with celebrities

While it is not uncommon for sports stars to be rubbing shoulders with celebrities, these moments in South Africa are few and far in between as we have decided to look at DStv Premiership coaches and players who have celebrity friends.

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Steve Komphela as well as Orlando Pirates co-manager Mandla Ncikazi were recently hanging out with famous musician and producer Zakes Bantwini.

The relationship between the three seems to be very cordial as Zakes captioned the image with "Brotherhood" which reflects a well-spirited relation among the three of them.

Zakes currently has one of the hottest songs on South Africa, Osama, which is an afro-tech song that has captivated the hearts of Mzansi heading into the festive season. We would not be too surprised if Komphela is an admirer of the song as he is well-versed in many areas, and seems to be a flexible individual.

Ncikazi on the other hand was quite a surprise as not much is put out in the public realm about him as he leads a relatively low-key life. This brotherhood will likely please some quarter of the Pirates fanbase as Zakes is a known Buccaneer supporter and has recently linked up with the club at Orlando Stadium this week, however, his visit is not clear if it was for business or for pleasure – time will tell!

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat was also caught snapped up with famous Ampiano duo Reece Madlisa and Zuma, who collectively form Amaroto.

Your thoughts, please?

Which relationship or acquaintanceship surprised you the most?
