Having announced the launch of the 'Brilliant One' company, Khuzwayo has shared insights into what he's been doing with his time since retiring and how his current agendas align to his ultimate goal.

"The Brilliant One deals with different things, first of all, it's football seminars in terms of grassroots development with talented kids," the 30-year-old tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"With the information, I have now, if I had it at a young age, where would I be? Let's leave the injury out the picture, where would I be?

"These kids, they don't even know what to eat, how to train [to become professionals]. So if we can take that information that we have now and put it to them at an early age, to these kids we know who don't want to go to school, if we can take it to schools, seminars and football training clinics."

As he plants his ideas and knowledge back into the grassroots level where it all began for him, Khuzwayo holds a philosophical approach to how his dream can be materialised with a step-by-step process.

Many ambitious football club bosses have opted to skip the proverbial grind and buy statuses to create successful institutions like the Soweto giants by Khuzwayo's organic method offers an inspiring insight into his methodical mindset.

"The pandemic ruined so many things, I was meant to launch something in February but everything was put on hold. It was these programmes I was talking about, school chats, debates, development seminars, the annual Khuzwayo football tournament that's been running for the last five years.

"And it's not just football, I have Sport by the Beach programme too, I'm from Durban as you know, a proposal of boot camps for kids too.

He added: "All of this fall align into these concepts I am working on and the last facet is to launch my own football academy, a sports academy and not just football.

"I won't start with all the sporting codes at once obviously but rather the one I'm familiar with and I'll build from there. To the offices that have opened up doors for me in Durban, the PRC office, which is the Head of Department Thembinkosi Ncgobo, the mayor of Ethikwini also.

"I'm saying thank you for them for opening doors for me and actually listening to my story, to my vision and to other sponsors who would like to be part of this, they are welcome to contact me."
