The former Orlando Pirates midfielder has been without a job since September 2022 after parting ways with Chippa United. Klate lasted only seven games as the head coach of the Chilli Boys before he was relieved of his duties.
The former Buccaneers winger has now relocated to Durban, where he hopes to reignite his coaching career. Both Klate and Hunt worked together as coach and player at SuperSport United and Bidvest Wits.
Hunt is thrilled about Klate joining him for the new project in KwaZulu-Natal.
“He is coming with the Diski Team. He knows what we're trying to do. He has been successful with Diski (teams) before. He likes to work in that space”, said Hunt.
“He is a good coach. The most important thing is not about bringing people in, but bringing people to the coach. People who know what they are doing on the training ground, we don’t want people talking on the computer, but people who can work on the training ground, that’s an important thing," he added.
