Broos makes big promise to Mbokazi & Co.

Head coach Hugo Broos has made a promise to the likes of Mbekezeli Mbokazi and several other new faces in the Bafana Bafana squad ahead of the upcoming friendly matches.

Bafama will play the first of what will be two international friendly internationals against Tanzania at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday, with a meeting against Mozambique at the same stadium taking place four days later.

The 23-man squad selected by Broos is largely dominated by youth and new faces. Buccaneers trio Mbokazi, Mohau Nkota, and Simphiwe Selepe are among those set to make their national team debuts.

Speaking to media this week, the Belgian has vowed that all new players will be given an opportunity to play.

"I think it is a great opportunity for the new players who are here with us," said Broos at the team's base in Polokwane on Monday.

"There is no pressure. You have played a friendly game, so the result is not that important.

"From my side, I will give every player the same playing time.

"It is a bit difficult for goalkeepers, but even there we will try to make sure that every keeper is playing the same minutes.

"We will make an evaluation after this FIFA week on the goalkeepers as well as our players.

"The performance is the most important thing. Surely we can win. We would like to win the two games, and we will do anything to win the games, but more important is the performance of the players, certainly the new players," explained the 73-year-old.

Other new faces in the squad include AmaZulu FC's Tshepang Moremi, Khulumani Ndamane who is past his passport issues, and Ashley Cupido, among others.
