The Ivory Coast striker scored twice in the opening 10 minutes to give the Dutch side a flying start to the match, before completing his hat-trick early in the second half and then topping off his impressive performance with a fourth goal just after the hour mark at the Jose Alvalade Stadium.
Haller is not the first player to hit the back of the net four times or more in a UCL match, though.
In 2010, Messi scored four goals for FC Barcelona in their 2009/10 quarter-final clash against Arsenal.
Nicklas Bendtner had initially put the Gunners ahead at the Camp Nou, but the Argentine quickly responded with a hat-trick to give his team a commanding lead, and then rounded off his quartet of strikes with a stunning solo strike late on.

Ronaldo, meanwhile, is the prestigious tournament's all-time top goalscorer, but he had to wait until 2015 to get his first four-goal haul, with the 36-year-old doing so for Real Madrid in their one-sided 8-0 victory over Swedish side Malmo.
