A Real Madrid star has not taken his omission from The Best Football Awards too kindly, and has hit out at FIFA following his snub.
With the nominees for The Best FIFA Football Awards recently revealed, Los Blancos shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois has responded in a rather unexpected fashion after he was not included in the shortlist for The Best FIFA Men's Goalkeeper prize.

The Belgian was left out as Alisson Becker, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Edouard Mendy, Manuel Neuer, and Kasper Schmeichel were named as the five contenders for the prestigious accolade, something that has seemingly left a bitter taste in the 29-year-old's mouth.
"I'd rather win the Champions League and La Liga than win these awards," he said in a press conference ahead of Real Madrid's UEFA Champions League clash against Sheriff Tiraspol on Wednesday night, per SPORTbible.
"The Best thing doesn't surprise me, maybe because of my comments a month ago.
"I know my worth and that's more important."

In October, after Belgium's UEFA Nations League third-place play-off against Italy, the former Chelsea shot-stopper essentially accused UEFA and FIFA of putting money above the wellbeing of players in reference to the congested international and domestic football schedule.
"This game is just a money game and we have to be honest about it," Courtois said at the time.
"We just play it because, for UEFA, it's extra money.
"Look at how much both teams changed [line-ups]. If both teams would have been in the final, there would have been other players in the final playing.
"This just shows that we play too many games."
The Best FIFA Football Awards will be staged in Zurich, Switzerland, on 17 January 2022.
