PSL club faced with Hlanti dilemma

Word reaching this publication is that a PSL club that has of late been busy on the transfers front is still considering its options regarding former Kaizer Chiefs defender Sifiso Hlanti.

The 35-year-old is seeking at least one last contract to wrap up his successful career.

Hlanti has won two major titles: the PSL title with Bidvest Wits in the 2016/2017 season and the Telkom Knockout in the 2017/2018 season.

His most recent club was Chiefs, whom he left in 2024.

KickOff.com understands a decision has been made by the Galaxy technical team regarding the ex-Bidvest Wits man, especially after he impressed during his trial with the side.

The lanky player has been training with the Rockets since December last year, aiming to impress Adnan Beganovic.

According to an insider, the club is willing to sign Hlanti, but the only obstacle is the current FIFA transfer ban.

Galaxy have two to three transfer window bans that came into effect as of December.

"Sifiso Hlanti is still training with TS Galaxy. The only issue now is the FIFA transfer ban," reveals a source.

"However, the decision to sign him has been made, and I think Hlanti will continue training with the club until the ban issue is completed.

"He has to wait before he can sign as there are currently no other options available to him, and teams are not lining up to sign him," the insider explained.
