Messi & Hakimi send PSG eight points clear

Achraf Hakimi and Lionel Messi were among the goals as Paris Saint-Germain rallied from behind to defeat Toulouse 2-1 in Ligue 1 action on Saturday evening.

PSG coach Christophe Galtier handed recalls to Danilo Pereira and Hugo Ekitike, with Sergio Ramos and Neymar both missing through injury.

Fifteen minutes into the clash, Galtier was forced to re-shuffle the pack as El Chadaille Bitshiabu replaced Renato Sanches, who picked up an injury.

The home crowd were silenced on 20 minutes when Branco van den Boomen curled a free-kick over the wall and into the back of the net to hand Toulouse the lead.

PSG had a chance to level matters in the 34th minute when Messi's corner found Marquinhos at the near post, but the Brazilian defender saw his header hit the upright.

The hosts got their reward four minutes later when Achraf Hakimi sent a fine curling finish into the far corner for his fourth league goal of the season.

PSG dominated in the second half and went on to get the go-ahead goal through Lionel Messi, who rifled the ball into the back of the net for his 10th league goal of the season.

The Argentine nearly added a third for PSG in the 76th minute after bein given time and space to pick his shot, but his effort sailed just over the crossbar.

Toulouse did throw bodies forward in search of an equaliser, but Donnarumma popped up with a vital save in time added on to seal three points for the league leaders.
