FC Barcelona: Arda Turan sentenced to 32 months in jail after brawl with pop star

On-loan FC Barcelona playmaker Arda Turan has received a prison sentence for firing an unlicensed gun in a hospital.
Turan, 32, who is currently on loan with Super Lig side Istanbul Basaksehir was involved in a fight with Turkish pop star Berkay Sahin in a nightclub last year, leaving the singer with a broken nose.   It's been reportd that the former Turkey captain later arrived at the hospital with a gun which he fired within the premisis, causing 'panic'.   He subsequently faced a number of other charges including sexual harassment, inflicting intentional injuries and shooting a firearm without a license.
Spanish publication Marca claims that upon being sentenced to 32 months, Turan was told that by not appealing the sentence, the jail term will be suspended unless he commits another crime within the next five years.   In October 2018, Turan was fined €370 000 by Basaksehir over the incident while in May 2018, the 100-time capped Turkey star was banned for 16 matches after punching a linesman.
