Borussia Dortmund rule out Real Madrid return for Achraf Hakimi

Borussia Dortmund have no intentions of letting Morocco international Achraf Hakimi return to Real Madrid before his two-year loan expires.

Hakimi join the Bundesliga on two-year loan deal before the 2018/2019 season got underway and became consistent figure in the starting line-up before his injury.

The full-back recently expressed his desire to return to the Santiago Bernabeu once the loan deal expires, although reports in Spain claim Real want the player to return next season.

However, Dortmund's sporting director Michael Zorc insists the Moroccan will remain with the Bundelsiga outfit for another season,

"Hakimi will not return to Real Madid this summer, I can rule that out," Zorc told Football Espana.

"We spoke with his agent last week and, yes, I read what the players told the media, but he will stay at Dortmund and we all know this.

"He is coming back to Dortmund this week to support the team and feel part of the club, and will return to us following the Africa Cup of Nations this summer."
