Alexander-Arnold seals late winner for Liverpool

Liverpool 4-3 Fulham

Liverpool moved within two points off Premier League leaders Arsenal with a thrilling 4-3 victory over Fulham on Sunday afternoon.

No further than six changes from the Reds showed, with Virgil Van Dijk, Joel Matip, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dominik Szoboslai and Alexis Mac Allister restored after the 4-0 win over LASK on Thursday.

Liverpool made a purposed start and were ahead on 20 minutes after Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno helped a perfectly hit free-kick from Alexander-Arnold into his own net.

The lead lasted just four minutes as the Cottagers levelled when Harry Wilson latched onto a cross-field pass to turn in from close-range.

Mac Allister, who won the FIFA World Cup with Argentina last year, restored the home side's lead with a tremendous finish following smart bit of technique.

The Cottagers bounced back though and got back on equal footing just before halftime after Kenny Tete applied an improvised finish that give Caoimhin Kelleher no chance.

Following a tense spell in the second stanza, Fulham went ahead for the first time in the match when Bobby De Cordova-Reid popped up at the far post to finish from close-range.

However, the Reds had the last say as stunner from the edge of the area by Wataru Endo nestled the top corner before Alexander-Arnold pushed up to get the winner with a point-blank finish.

Chelsea 3-2 Brighton Hove Albion

Ten-man Chelsea returned to winning ways to get their league campaign back on track following a 3-2 victory over Brighton Hove Albion.

Four alterations were presented by the Blues in Axel Disasi, Levi Colwill, Moses Caicedo and Mykhailo Mudryk following the dismal loss to Newcastle United.

Argentine international Enzo Fernandez put the Blues ahead before Colwill followed with a second shortly thereafter.

The Seagulls managed to pull one back through Facundo Buonanotte just ahead of the halftime exchanges, as the Blues had Conor Gallagher dismissed for a second bookable offence.

Fernandez regained their lead though late in the second half with a finish from the penalty spot after Mykhailo Mudryk went down tumbling in the area.

Brighton set-up a nervy finish inside the final seconds when Joao Pedro fired in, but the Blues held on to claim the win.

West Ham United 1-1 Crystal Palace

West Ham United and Crystal Palace shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw in a tightly contested league encounter out at the London Stadium.

The Hammers were in the lead in the earlier exchanges after Vladimir Coufal pushed towards the far side to cutback for Mohammed Kudus to finish off first-time.

As the host enjoyed the advantage at the break, the Eagles rallied back and found their way back when Odsonnne Edouard picked up a misplaced pass to make a decoy run and find the net.

AFC Bournemouth 2-2 Aston Villa

AFC Bournemouth were denied three valuable points after Aston Villa snatched a late 2-2 draw in an entertaining contest.

It was a lively start from the host when Antoine Semenyo put them ahead, but it was short lived as the Clarets levelled it up courtesy of a certain Leon Bailey.

The Cherries looked to seal the points in the latter stages through a clinical strike from Dominik Solanke, but Ollie Watkins came good for the visitors and salvaged a point at the death.
