Salah continued his prolific form for the reigning Premier League champions when he netted his 20th league goal of the season during Saturday's 1-1 draw against Newcastle.
The Egyptian forward opened the scoring for the Reds with a superbly taken first-half effort which looked to have earned Jurgen Klopp's side all three points, only for on-loan star Joe Willock to earn the Magpies a share of the spoils with just seconds remaining on the clock.
While the result will have come as the latest setback in Jurgen Klopp's side's disappointing title defence, Salah walked away from the encounter having added yet another club record to his ever-expanding collection.
Upon finding the back of the net against Newcastle, the two-time African Footballer of the Year became the first-ever Liverpool player to score 20 or more league goals in three separate seasons in the Premier League era.
He had previously breached the 20-goal mark in both the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons, scoring a competition-record 32 times in the former campaign and 22 times during the latter, winning the division's Golden Boot award on both occasions.
Salah's strike over the weekend also saw him climb to 12th on Liverpool's all-time goalscoring charts with a remarkable return of 123 goals in 198 appearances across all competitions, and he is just seven more efforts away from breaking into the top 10 in the rankings.
The 28-year-old is now also one goal behind Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane in this season's Premier League's scoring charts and with five matches remaining for the campaign will be looking to add to his tally as he goes in pursuit of a third Golden Boot award.
He will have the opportunity to work towards that target this coming weekend when the Reds travel to rivals Manchester United, an opponent against whom he has scored three times in seven matches.
