Arsenal cult hero Mesut Ozil has reportedly advised a highly coveted star against joining his former club in this window.
The Gunners have been busy in the transfer market, having signed Kai Havertz from Chelsea and reportedly reached agreements to acquire Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice from Ajax Amsterdam and West Ham United, respectively.

The club has also not ruled out the possibility of even more players arriving as they are keen to build on their relatively successful 2022/23 campaign, which saw them finish second in the Premier League and qualify for the UEFA Champions League for the first time since the 2016/17 campaign.
It is understood that Arsenal are among a long list of clubs currently tracking Turkish sensation Arda Guler, the 18-year-old who has become one of the most coveted talents in Europe today, with the likes of FC Barcelona also eager to sign the young talent in this window.
Blaugrana president Joan Laporta recently confirmed their interest, telling Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo: "He is a very young player, it is true that our scouts have been following him for a long time and many big clubs in Europe want him. We are talking to Fenerbahce."
However, with Arsenal also in the mix, their former playmaker Ozil could scupper their potential move for Guler in the coming weeks after offering the youngster some advice.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the former Germany star has told Guler to stay at Fenerbahce for one more season as he feels a move to a bigger club would hinder his development
The young midfielder played 35 matches for Fener's first team last season and Ozil, who now permanently resides in Turkey, feels he would lose valuable game time by going abroad.
