It is claimed the deal will see the Georgia international continue his stay in Spain as he would be loaned back to Los Che for the duration of the 24/25 season.

Furthermore, it suggested that the English giants will then determine whether or not the 23-year-old will spend another year at Valencia on loan or be incorporated into Arne Slot's squad.

Mamardashvili is among the continent's brightest talents, and showcased his ability between the sticks at the 2024 UEFA European Championship, helping Georgia reach the round of 16 – in their first-ever appearance at the showpiece  where they suffered a 4-1 defeat to eventual champions Spain.

In terms of his club career, the Georgian has made 101 appearances for Valencia across all competitions so far, amassing just over 9 000 minutes of playing time.
