After Martin Zubimendi's mooted transfer to Anfield fell through at the final stages of negotiations, the six-time European champions have returned to LALIGA to make the Georgia international the first acquisition of Arne Slot's reign at the club.
Reports suggest that the 23-year-old has completed his move from Valencia for a fixed fee of €30 million (R594 million), plus €5 million (R99 million) in add-ons, with it agreed that he will spend the 2024/25 season with Los Che before making the move to Merseyside ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The shot-stopper recently helped his nation qualify for their first-ever UEFA European Championship, where they made it all the way to the round of 16 in historic fashion, with those performances helping earn Mamardashvili a six-year contract at Anfield.
