According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg the reigning CAF Champions League winners have made a €2.5 million bid for Darmstadt striker Isac Lidberg.

The bid has been rejected, with Plettenberg revealing the club will enter talks if the offer is better.

The Swedish striker netted 14 goals and laid on five assists in 28 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga last campaign.

"Darmstadt have rejected an offer from Pyramids FC (Egypt) for Isac Lidberg,"

"The deal was worth €2.5 million plus a 10% sell-on clause in favour of Darmstadt.

"Lidberg is considering the offer, but Darmstadt are keen to keep hold of their top striker. Sporting director Paul Fernie is only willing to enter negotiations in the case of an exceptional offer.
