First coach of Mamkhize regime in Eswatini revealed

It is now reported that Shauwn Mkhize's new club in Eswatini has appointed a head coach to kickstart her reign.

Mkhize recently became the president of Mbabane Highlanders FC, a club in Eswatini's top flight.

The team has since been renamed Mbabane Highlanders AM FC, with several features—such as the emblem—rebranded to resemble Royal AM’s former identity.

Although Mkhize and her team have publicised the rebranding and name change on social media, reports suggest the new name has not been officially registered yet due to ongoing administrative delays.

Nevertheless, Mkhize’s influence at Mbabane is reportedly already being felt.

According to the Times of Eswatini, the club has appointed Ernest Mavuso as their new head coach, replacing Malawian tactician Meck Mwase.

It is further reported that Mavuso will receive a significant salary increase, now earning E18,000 (approximately R18,000) per month.

Mavuso previously managed Green Mamba, where he was said to be earning half of that amount.

Mbabane are also reportedly in Pietermaritzburg for their pre-season training camp.
