Ghana legend Gyan Asamoah admits the 2010 FIFA World Cup still haunts him but insists his penalty miss in the quarter-final against Uruguay will be redeemed.
In the first World Cup hosted on African soil, the Black Stars provided the continent with thrilling entertainment towards the last-eight of the competition.

However, Gyan failed to convert a last-minute penalty in extra-time before Africa's only hope for success in the competition were dumped out in the penalty shoot-out.
In what was Ghana's second only appearance at World Cup finals, they were just second away from becoming the first African side in the semi-finals of the global showpiece.

But Uruguay's Luis Suarez infamous handball that prevented a winning-goal and resulted in Gyan's missed penalty will go down as one of the most iconic moments of the spectacle in South Africa.
"Till today, any time alone, it still haunts me," Ghana's record scorer told TV3. "Sometimes I feel like the world should go back again so I can redeem myself.
"I know this is something that will haunt me for the rest of my life. I accept that because there is nothing I can do about it.
"I went there to save my country, but I ended up being the villain, which I accept because I know how people feel.
"It was a disaster. It was crazy. I was also calm because I couldn't sleep the whole night because I was crying the whole night until morning so I was somehow calm because I couldn't cry anymore.
"All I was telling myself was to get another chance because I knew I could redeem myself even if not football, something else. But even if I don't, my kids will do it one day."
