FIFA slap Guinea-Bissau FA president Manuel Nascimento with 10-year ban over mob justice

Ahead of the Guinea Bissau FA election that were set to take place on Sunday, Nascimento, who was seeking a third consecutive term in office was apprehended by the world football governing body.

FIFA revealed on an official statement on the eve of the elections this weekend that Nascimento breached art. 23 of the Fifa Code of Ethics - which has seen him banned from all football-related activities for the next decade.

The controversial leader was also handed a hefty fine of R1.8-million by the judges at FIFA's independent ethics committee.
