Bafana Bafana winger Elias Mokwana remains one of the most sought-after talents following his impressive performances at the recently concluded FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
The 25-year-old dazzled scouts, despite Esperance de Tunis's early exit from the tournament. More so, he made huge contributions in his debut season for the Tunisian giants.

Mokwana enjoyed a standout debut season with Esperance, scoring six goals and providing four assists across all competitions. His contributions played a crucial role in the club’s successful campaign.
Recent reports suggest that Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Hazem are keen to sign Mokwana. It is said that the team sees the South African as a potential attacking asset who can add depth and pace to their forward line.
With the Saudi league rapidly growing in stature and financial power, Al-Hazem could offer a lucrative package to lure Mokwana from Esperance.
On the other hand, Russian Premier League side FC Dynamo Makhachkala have also reportedly emerged as a potential suitor. However, another Russian club, FK Khimki, has reportedly submitted a transfer bid of $800,000 (approximately R14.6 million) in an attempt to secure Mokwana’s services.
Khimki, who are eyeing promotion back to the top flight, are understood to be viewing the former Sekhukhune United star as a dynamic winger who could bring much-needed flair and creativity to their squad.
Back home, Mokwana has also been linked with a possible return to the Betway Premiership, with Kaizer Chiefs believed to be a potential switch in this window according to local reports.

All the above-mentioned teams face stiff competition from several unnamed European clubs, with interest reportedly coming from French Ligue 1, the Turkish Super Lig, and the Belgian Pro League.
These leagues are often attractive destinations for African talent due to their competitive level and exposure to top-tier football. However, Esperance are said to be not interested in letting go of their star.
