The Egyptian Football Federation has reportedly responded to Pyramids FC's intention to request a postponement of their domestic fixture due to their upcoming clash with Mamelodi Sundowns.
Pyramids and the Brazilians are gearing up for their historic CAF Champions League final after defeating Orlando Pirates and Al Ahly in the semi-finals, respectively.
The two clubs will first face off in the first leg on 24 May in South Africa, with the second leg planned to take place in Cairo on 1 June.

Pyramids, who currently top the Egyptian Premier League standings, are scheduled to face Ceramica Cleopatra in a league match on May 28, which they claim will interfere with their Champions League commitment.
Consequently, Pyramids Sporting Director Hani Said was recently quoted affirming their intentions to file a request with the federation concerning the match.
"We will request a postponement of the Ceramica match due to its close timing with the CAF Champions League final," Said said according to On Sport FM Radio.
