Long-awaited green light for Ndah!

Orlando Pirates have been handed a major boost with a 'not available' status for one of their key players having changed for the positive ahead of a league clash against Orbit College.

Abdeslam Ouaddou's men will be in search of a second win of the new Betway Premiership season when they play host newly promoted Orbit College at Orlando Stadium on Tuesday (19:30).

One win from the last three league matches means Ouaddou still has plenty of work to do in building trust, not only with his players, but also with Soweto giants' massive fanbase.

That task will be aided by the possible inclusion of defender Olisa Ndah, who has been cleared for a long awaited return to action.

"Pirates have, however, been boosted by the imminent return of defender Olisa Ndah, who has been back at training while fellow centre-back and captain Nkosinathi Sibisi continues to recover from a knock picked up earlier in the season," Pirates wrote on the club's website on Monday.

The Nigerian has been sidelined with multiple injuries since September last year.

It has also not helped the new tactician's cause that the central defensive duo of Thabiso Sesane and Nkosinathi Sibisi are also unavailable.

In the meantime, the club has relied heavily on 19-year-old Mbekezeli Mbokazi, while new signing Lebone Seema has also been thrown into the thick of things.

To their credit, the pair has looked solid in the heart of defence, and it remains to be seen if Ouaddou turns to Ndah or sticks to the status quo when it comes to his rearguard this evening.
