Egyptian giants Al Ahly SC are reportedly joining the race for an African star, who is a rumoured target for Kaizer Chiefs.
Chiefs have consistently been rumoured to be considering the option of securing the signature of Congolese international Fiston Mayele.
Amakhosi coach Nasreddine Nabi is believed to still be advocating for additional attacking strength, with Mayele being one of the forwards he aims to have in his roaster.

The Tunisian tactician worked with the in-form Mayele at the Tanzanian club Young Africans SC a few seasons back.
Mayele has been excelling for Pyramids FC, who are currently leading the Egyptian Premier League standings, while also shining in the CAF Champions League.
The soaring star has assisted his team in defeating Orlando Pirates in the semi-finals of the Champions League, setting up a historic final against Betway Premiership giants Mamelodi Sundowns.

Now, recent reports from the continent suggest that Chiefs may potentially miss out on Mayele as Ahly have reportedly joined the race for the in-demand goal-poacher.
Soccer Laduma revealed earlier this week that the Red Devils are interested in the forward.
It will be interesting to see if the Chiefs can ultimately secure Mayele's signature, especially with Ahly now involved. Meanwhile, Pyramids are said to be unwilling to part ways with him anytime soon.
