The Harambee Stars striker joined Al Duhail in January 2021 from Japanese club Kashiwa Reysol and went on to win the Mansour Muftah Award for the Top Scorer in the 2021/22 season with 24 goals.

Olunga is known for his goal-poaching abilities, as evidenced by his scoring record over the last two seasons, where he netted more than 30 goals in 40 league matches.
The in-form Olunga has accumulated 13 goals this season in 22 appearances across all competitions. His most recent goal was the decisive one in the 1-0 victory against Al Khor in the Qatar Stars League two weeks ago.

On the other hand, Amakhosi have yet to secure a striker since Tunisian coach Nasreddine Nabi's arrival at the beginning of the 2024/25 campaign.
With the Winter transfer window fast approaching, the Glamour Boys are anticipated to make signings and it remains to be seen if they will eventually snap up Olunga.
