The well-travelled 49-year-old mentor replaces the experienced Florent Ibenge, who recently dumped the club to take charge of Tanzanian outfit Azam FC.
According to recent reports, Mosimane had been in talks with Hilal to take over the reins. However, the deal ultimately fell through.
It has been said that the former Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns boss opted not to join the Sudanese Premier League side due to the league’s scheduling issues and the ongoing civil conflict in Sudan.
With the new season approaching, including participation in the CAF Champions League, Hilal have now placed its trust in Reghecampf to lead the team forward.
