Golden Arrows reward captain Matome Mathiane with a three-year contract

The 29-year-old central defender from Limpopo joined Abafana Bes'thende in the 2012/2013 season and has grown to become a key figure in the side over the years.

He played a big role at the back when Arrows won promotion to the PSL at the end of the 2014/2015 season and featured during the past season as the KZN outfit finished in the top eight. He made 19 appearances in all competitions for the club and will be surely looking to feature a lot more in the new campaign.

Mathiane is one of coach Clinton Larsen's trusted men in the team, which is why Arrows did not hesitate to give him a new deal.

"Mathiane has signed for three years with Arrows, the deal is sealed and delivered," the player's agent Jazzman Mahlakgane tells snl24.com/kickoff

"He is the captain of the club and the chairman has always expressed his intentions to keep him, he has been with the club even in their NFD."
