The storied shirt, once worn by some of the greatest names in Amakhosi history, has now been handed to 19-year-old Luke Baartman.
Baartman has become Chiefs' ninth signing ahead of the 2025/26 season, joining the Soweto giants from Cape Town Spurs.
The talented teenager, a South African junior international, featured in the Motsepe Foundation Championship last season and now steps into the limelight with one of the country's biggest clubs.
On Thursday morning, the club confirmed that Baartman will don the No. 11 jersey, a number that carries a rich legacy.
Most recently worn by Khama Billiat before his return to Zimbabwe, the shirt holds a deep connection to Chiefs' creative and attacking history.
Legends such as Nelson "Teenage" Dladla, Isaac "Shakes" Kungwane, Emmanuel "Scara" Ngobese, and Jabu "Shuffle" Pule have all lit up the pitch in the famous jersey.

Others, including Abia Nale, Knowledge Musona, and Ovidy Karuru, also wore the number with distinction.
With such a legacy behind it, the No. 11 shirt comes with weighty expectations. But for Baartman, it also represents a golden opportunity to write his own name into the Glamour Boys tradition.
